Ralph Allwood

While he was Director of Music at Uppingham School, Ralph founded the courses now known as the Eton Choral Courses. They were originally intended to aid applicants for choral scholarships at Oxford and Cambridge, but in time they have grown to offer high-class choral training to anyone between 16 and 20 years old. Ralph personally directs the majority of these courses each year, now held at Eton, Cambridge, Oxford, Durham and Cheltenham. Ralph also helps direct the Stonebridge Music Courses, for children aged 9 to 15.
